The 2009 AIA Awards

On March 5, more than 200 of California’s most talented architects gathered at the San Francisco Design Center to honor the best in the business. From the vignettes at Slow Food Nation to a LEED Gold–certified industrial renovation to the amazing new California Academy of Sciences, the projects and their architects are leading the way in the Bay Area and beyond, and received some well-deserved recognition during the ceremony, moderated by CH+D Executive Editor Sarah Lynch, and through publication in the most recent issue of CH+D, which was unveiled at the celebration. Guests enjoyed wines from Bibola.com and Firestone Walker Brewing Company while celebrating the award-winning designs.
