Heather Hartle | Owner | Editorial + Creative Director
Owner/Editorial + Creative Director Heather Luplow Hartle cofounded Hartle Media in 2001 after relocating to San Francisco from Detroit, where she was a member of the founding team of HOUR Media LLC, publishers of the award-winning HOUR Detroit magazine. Before entering the publishing field in 1996, Heather was in promotions and marketing for the film industry, with clients that included Paramount, Disney, New Line and MGM. Heather is involved with numerous charitable organizations throughout San Francisco; in 2004, she was awarded the title of Woman of the Year by the San Francisco chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

EDITORIAL
Sarah Lynch | Executive Editor
Sarah Lynch put her lifelong passion for design to use in New York at Metropolitan Home where she worked as both assistant and associate articles editor. After leaving Met Home, she worked as a freelance writer in Newport, Rhode Island before relocating to San Francisco for a position as the managing editor on Pottery Barn's Design Library series. Sarah has authored six books, including Complete Bathroom Design, Modern Color and 77 Habits for Highly Creative Interior Designers. In 2004, Hartle Media hired Sarah as Executive Editor of the newly acquired California Home + Design magazine. She has also appeared on HGTV as a regular design authority on the home makeover show, Double Take.

Erin Feher | Associate Editor
Erin Feher is originally from Cleveland Ohio, and received her degree in journalism from San Francisco State University. She covers the arts and architecture throughout California with a focus on how design shapes urban communities. She is also the Editor In Chief of Eth6, an independent magazine that facilitates the collaboration between social workers and journalists with the goal of illuminating social issues in the Bay Area.


ONLINE
Matthew Knudsen | Online Designer
A designer, photographer, musician and painter, Matthew Knudsen, who joined Hartlemedia in June of 2007, loves the world of art. Since graduating from The Art Institute of California in December 2005, he has worked as a junior art director at Euro RSCG, travelled the country, made many new friends and ridden many miles on his 1983 Trek bike. His interests include surfing, marine biology, Jeopardy, Ross Dress for Less and birds. Look out for him in 2008 to start a new beer lover blog.
ART
Benjamin Hardiman | Design Director
After studying at Parsons School of Design, Design Director and former New Yorker Benjamin Hardiman served as an art director to a variety of publications, including Celebrity Style, Teen Celebrity and SHAPE's Fit Hollywood, before coming to SF to work for 7x7. His web-design clients have included MTV Networks and Ingredients.com. He has also done illustrations for Psychology Today.

PRODUCTION
Timothy Wudarski | Production Director
Timothy Wudarski started his publishing career early, serving as Editor and Publisher of the critically acclaimed Monthly Comet in the third grade in Detroit. He went on to help the Detroit News and Free Press along their way to a pure digital workflow and serve as production manager at HOUR Detroit, working on several independent magazine ventures along the way. Tim moved to San Francisco to work for Hartle Media in 2003, bringing to 7x7 another beloved mascot, a guinea pig named Jazz. He now also serves as Production/IT Director for Spin magazine.

André Angeles | Production Coordinator
André is a native Bay Arean, actually born in San Francisco and has stuck around ever since! He's been in publishing for most of his adult life starting with writing TV reviews for his middle school newspaper, to the advertising staff at the SJSU Spartan Daily...to his most long term stay of 14 years at InfoWorld Media Group. André has a secret desire to be an interior designer, so serving as the Production Coordinator at CH+D is a match made in heaven. He also enjoys long walks on the beach, sincere people, red meat and Justin Timberlake.

Don Lewis | Digital Image Specialist
After wasting his youth on wine, women and song, Don Lewis began his career in various art departments in the Emerald City (Seattle, not Oz). Don further honed his skills freelancing at ad agencies here in San Francisco. Now at Hartle Media, Don uses the magic of digital imagery to make people look even more beautiful and food even more delicious. Don is also the Production Department's resident movie and music know-it-all.
PUBLISHING

Andrea Yankowski | Circulation Coordinator
Andrea Yankowski has been a Bay Area resident since 1993. She joined Hartle Media as a part-time employee in June 2002, while working on her master's degree in anthropology. With her degree in hand, she now manages Hartle Media's Circulation and Research and is “almost” a full-time employee.

John Verduzco | Chief Financial Officer
Over the last 20 years, John Verduzco has held senior management positions in various industries, including banking, production and post-production for film, television and music videos, as well as marketing, advertising and public relations. John joined Hartle Media in 2005, after having served three years as Controller for MOD/Michael Osborne Design, and 10 years as Senior Vice President & General Manager for Bill Lanese Advertising.

Philip Beers | Accounts Payable Specialist
Accounts Payable Specialist Philip Beers moved to San Francisco from Aspen, Colorado in 2001. After spending several years in the banking industry, with experience in everything from credit unions to high-end private banking, Philip came to Hartle Media in August 2006, hoping to increase his knowledge of publishing and to find a new exciting office environment away from those boring bankers.

Jeremy Paz | Operations Manager
Operations Manager Jeremy Paz came to 7x7 after living the life of Riley for two years in Zihuatanejo, Mexico. Before coming to Hartle Media, he was the office manager at BeneFit Cosmetics corporate headquarters here in San Francisco; he also owned and operated a successful silk-screen operation. Shortly after his arrival at 7x7 he was awarded Best “Okay, I know a guy who can do that….” Jeremy is a veteran of the United States Navy and an aspiring novelist. He loves Maker's Mark bourbon and often quotes W.C. Fields: “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house unless they have a well-stocked bar.”

Kelly Stucker | Account Manager
Account Manager, Kelly Stucker, a Midwesterner by heart, brings both agency and publishing experience to Hartle Media. She worked at several top ad agencies before co-founding trips magazine in 1997. She spends her free time entertaining her boys and remodeling their home.

Sonya Winterhalder | Account Manager, Real Estate Partnerships
Account Manager, Sonya Winterhalder, a native of Seattle, is celebrating two and a half years at California Home + Design and a fourth year in San Francisco. Sonya has an extensive background in real estate marketing beginning just after college as a realtor assistant and realtor, and later as a print and online marketing consultant for realtors across the globe with Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate. Sonya brings an inside understanding of the market and needs of her clients. In her free time you can find her jogging, skiing, traveling, and cooking for her friends and family.

Joseph Armeen | Account Manager
A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Joseph joined the California Home + Design team from Condé Nast Publications where he worked on various titles including Architectural Digest, Vanity Fair, CARGO and Jane. Joseph brings his knowledge of national publishing to the San Francisco and North Bay territories. He has been in San Francisco for over two years and when he is not spreading the CH+D gospel, he can be found riding his road bike, snowboarding, searching for the perfect pulled pork sandwich and following both the Giants and the A's.
MARKETING
Lindsey Shook | Marketing Director
Born and bred in North Carolina, 7x7’s Marketing Director, Lindsey Shook, studied art history and international relations at UNC Wilmington. Her move out west, however, led her to jobs in fashion, interior design and, finally, marketing. She can usually be found pining after anything Ann Demeulemeester or toasting a glass of champagne in the Mission. She dreams of one day singing with André 3000 while dressed entirely in couture.
