Following Her Heart

Interior designer Jona Collins is the principal and founder of JCID, based in San Francisco. In addition to specializing in furniture design and commercial and high-end residential interiors, Jona makes it a high priority to take on numerous philanthropic projects, such as San Francisco's annual Dining by Design event, as well as design for the Dickens Showcase House Charity, and to donate her time and talents to organizations that she is passionate about.

Dining by Design

For a few magical nights, San Francisco Design Center played host to one of the year’s most amazing spectacles: DIFFA’s Dining By Design San Francisco. Whether inspired by cult-classic literature, a day at the beach or the streets of Paris, dozens of designers created whimsical tablescapes at the San Francisco Design Center. Organized by co-chairs Anthony Garrett, Ronette King and Christie McRae, Dining By Design San Francisco was a hit with the Table Hop & Taste cocktail party on November 18, followed by the gala dinner the next night.

SFDC launches “Green and Bold”

The San Francisco Design Center is leading the way to a greener future for the Bay Area. Led by Margaret Collard of IAP, a SFDC initiative called “Green and Bold” brings together interior designers, architects, landscape designers and showrooms to help add some green to some of the drearier parts of our community, including St. Dominic’s church in SF and St. Vincent’s School for Boys in Marin.
